Your hike is YOUR hike, there’s no rule book. Rue and I skipped a couple of summits in this horseshoe route and took the lower path to reserve our energy and THAT’S OKAY! I’m only in competition with myself and maybe next time we’ll be able to tick off all the summits 🫶🏼.
I’ve felt the Instagram pressure before of making sure I’m hiking at least 3x a week and photographing every summit to prove I can do it 🤪😂 But how stupid is that ?! I’m not going to be on my death bed thinking about the fact I skipped Fan Y Big on my horseshoe route the first time, I’m going to be thinking of the glorious sunshine I was fit enough to go out and enjoy with Rue, or Andy, or my friends. 🤍
I’m also in awe of the people that can run up and down mountains, conquer challenges and beat their PB’s! Every type of hiker is out there in the mountains, and we all deserve to be there 🫶🏼
