🍓 The Strawberry Moon will appear noticeably larger and lower in the sky since the summer solstice falls during the sun’s yearly maximum. This is what the Old Farmers’ Almanac refers to as the “Moon Illusion.”
🔮 Tomorrow it will be the full moon so be sure to get your crystals out, ready to be bathed in that glorious moonlight. And let’s set some good intentions for the remainder of 2024 whilst we’re at it.
🌞 The solstice marks the beginning of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere. This day is known as the “longest” because it sees the most hours of daylight of the year.

🙆🏼♀️ After a full on day at the Royal Cornwall Show yesterday, I was feeling a little broken this morning and definitely in need of a slow day. A calming morning stretch class at the gym and a coffee on top of Carn Brea with Purdy sorted me right out!
📚 I then came home and read a few pages of my book (I’m addicted - it’s called Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney!) before heading to the hair salon for a much needed trim. I felt super glam walking Purdy on her evening stroll with my bouncy shiny locks!!
🍃 I am now in my pjs, front door open to enjoy the last of this gorgeous day, about to watch a film with a pore strip and cooling under-eye patches on to relax me even more.

🥾 After a busy day at work where I stared longingly out the window at the blue sky that taunted me through the glass, I finally escaped and took myself back to Portreath for a much needed 3.5-mile hike along the coast.
🏋🏻♀️ I am currently trying to get myself back into a decent level of fitness because in August, I’m taking part in a 26-mile walking marathon along the Cornish coast, to raise money for @macmillancancer 😅 Eek! I am also raising money for MacMillan so if you fancy donating a few squids, the link is in my bio.
🥵 Anyone who knows this stretch, will know the coastal steps that make your thighs burn and butt ache. As I did last week, I tackled the first set (twice!) and walked 1.5-miles one way, reached the second set of steps, and then turned back - maybe next time I will attempt both sets twice 🤪
🤌🏼 The colours that hit my eyeballs as I wandered in peaceful solitude along the coast were completely dazzling. It’s such a magnificent part of Cornwall and one I enjoy exploring greatly.
🍃 I drove home absolutely beaming and am now snuggled up on the sofa watching a bit of telly after a yummy dinner. A perfect way to finish the day.
🌊 Have you managed to enjoy any of this divine weather today? The weekend is looking good too - what a difference to the soul this change in weather can have. It’s certainly lifted my spirits.

🐚 When I’m feeling a little low, not only do I like to hermit and spend time at home, I also like to take myself to my favourite coastline in Cornwall, just me and Purdy, and have a little meander before plonking on a bench overlooking the sea, and sitting awhile.
👀 I’m also out without a scrap of make up on, my skin is rubbish, and I’m all blotchy from hormonal crying but hey, we’re all real here and no point in filtering real life is there…
🌿 I am back in the car, have my book and thought I’d read a few pages whilst pup snoozes in the back, before heading home and clambering back under our blankets in front the telly.

💚 On Saturday 31 August 2024, I will be taking on part of the Cornish coast path by walking 26-miles (a full flipping marathon!) from Padstow to Newquay in aid of @macmillancancer 💚
👏🏽 I’ve also managed to rope in a few of my work colleagues and we have created a team called the Crofty Killas - it’s a mining reference as we are based at South Crofty Tin Mine!
🏋🏻♀️ I will be creating a bit of a training plan to ensure we make it from start to finish feeling fab. And this will also ensure I am fit as a fiddle for when I take on the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia for my walking holiday in partnership with @tatra_escapes

👩👧Getting to spend Valentines Day with my little love was absolutely ...💘 My Mini Valentine
👩👧Getting to spend Valentines Day with my little love was absolutely beautiful, and being her Auntie is my favourite.
🦭 I took Darcy for a day out to the @cornishsealsanctuary in Gweek on Wednesday, and it did not disappoint.
🤍 Darcy’s favourite part of the day was seeing the seals getting fed, and then writing her name, mummy’s name, and aunties name (in her best handwriting) in the heart which was stuck on the window to celebrate Valentines Day.
💞 We had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Seal Sanctuary and loved watching the seals from the viewing point underneath. They took a shine to Darcy as you’ll see in one of the pics!
💝 We learnt a lot and Darcy was fascinated with it all, asking me questions and taking a shine to Florence Pugh, a young seal who is currently in the seal hospital being well looked after.
🫶🏽 A wonderful day out and now I have an annual pass where I can go back again and again! Have you visited the Cornish Seal Sanctuary before?
