The John Muir Way is a multi-day walk that stretches 134 miles across Scotland. As the sun decided to finally show up this year I headed out to walk what is typically the first stage. This was around 13km from Helensburgh to Balloch. I have to say it was an amazing day out and I really enjoyed the landscape it had to offer. The walk has some really nice views over Loch Lomond. I'll definitely be back at some point to complete the full thing! If you enjoy hill walking and live close to Glasgow I'd definitely recommend it. You can get a train to Helensburgh and a train back to Glasgow from Balloch.
