It’s been a tough week and I’d rather be back exploring Olympic National park a little while longer! This was my favorite hike while out there and sunset was amazing.
I don’t know if I’m ready to fully share what’s going on with me but let’s just say I am glad it’s the weekend & it will be okay. Everything happens for a reason, and it can still be heartbreaking💔

Bike ride was about 10.5 miles around to the pretty doors + then back to the 🚲 shop.
It’s really fun biking around a town you see so much more than walking and driving. Have you ever done this before? 🤷♀️

After the hike Colden got a bath, we had dinner now I am trying a new breakfast food recipe out (CINNAMON ROLL PROTEIN MUFFINS)!

Sunday my mom & I went on a fun citrus grove loop trail in ‘California Citrus State Historic Park’ 🌴
The trail had different types of oranges + lemons as well as some very pretty palm trees and flowers to look at!

I got picked up by some relatives there + over the past two days (Tuesday & Wednesday) they showed me some local favorites 😜

Saturday had a couple adventures & I met some really nice people. You think adventuring alone you’ll be alone (maybe) but sometimes you meet some really cool people 😎
I do like to believe that like minded people meet on trails. I was almost to the top when a couple of guys were trying to make there way up the rope section. They were so funny, it was def a first for them experiencing ropes before.
After getting to the top we hung out for awhile then they decided to head down & we said goodbye. As they left a guy joined me he was alone as well + after about 15 mins the sun went farther down and it started to look like a sunset. We talked a little and he said he’s a photographer for work travels around a lot and asked if he could take some photos for me (the sunset was looking really incredible) and I as most of you may know said sure why not!
We watched the sunset and then both decided to head down. There were some others that joined us before the sunset + went down a little after us. The photographer was a little quicker so we said our goodbyes ✌️
Thankful to not be the last one down- I knew at least 2 others were behind me but you never know so I always bring one headlamp sometimes two or a flashlight as well!
Sometimes doing something alone can be scary but after doing it a couple times it gets easier but being cautious can never hurt!
Olympic is certainly becoming one of my favorites 🥰 hope you have a good Monday!

A couple weeks ago I flew down to Virginia to drive home my new to me used 4 door Jeep! It may not seem like a big deal but to me It’s a really big change.
A 2 door to a 4 door with a trunk that will fit not just my snowboard but also a couple xc skiis 🤪
Excited for all the new adventures roaming this year with the new jeep called ‘Xena Princess Warrior.’ 🙃

My jeeps name came to me when serving one night. I was talking to a customer & he asked me to tell him about my jeep. I told him we went through some crazy weather together on our drive home + then he suggested its current name!🤷♀️

It was in the single digits + it felt like it as we started our ascent. The cold doesn’t bother Colden so the more we walked I warmed up.
As we neared the top I could tell we may get some color but it’s so hard to capture that. I really do want to get better at photography but I’ve been lazy 😬

Over the weekend I went on 4 smaller hikes for this girls getaway weekend. The hikes were a close drive to Jay, NY (took so many videos + photos so more to come) 😜
We experienced so many different sky changes. On Saturday we got up to do a sunrise hike but then it decided to snow and it was lovely. When we got to the top of our hike we didn’t make it for sunrise but the sun decided to shine through ☀️
I love walking through nature and being mindful of looking around not just watching my feet so I don’t fall 👣

I now work at a different restaurant that is a closer drive but miss this place 😢

Colden needed some exercise before I went to work yesterday so we made a little trip to a local fire tower.
Usually we go up but it was really cold so we decided to take some photos w/the Observer’s Cabin.
The Fire Observer’s Cabin has been repurposed as a museum and no longer in use.
I am very close to completing the fire tower challenge but they are so far apart 😂

Went to sunrise a spot I’ve been wanting to again but the weather was wild- it was so windy!
So we decided to go somewhere calmer. It still felt cold out but it wasn’t as windy + still was able to catch the sunrise!
I prefer sunrises on mtns but this spot was pretty epic, still in the mountains ☀️

Even though that doesn’t usually stop us!
We went on one of our favorite trails to a cool lean-to near a river. The walk was about 3.4 miles rt (time spent out 1hr 45mins). If we aren’t hiking mountains we like to find cool trails w/lean-tos.

I wanted to make tea that I got for secret Santa at work. I brought my Jetboil, the tea, the cup but forgot the pot to heat the water in!

After the hike I had to get homemade cake donuts- one with vanilla frosting and Oreo crumbles on top & the other blueberry frosting w/rainbow sprinkles 🍩

Getting fresh air while wearing the right layers is so important esp in the winter when it gets really cold. This mornings hike was very cold but I had some warm layers to keep me warm ☀️
