My Wainwright ticking off Mission from Grasmere 🌄
Set off early from Grasmere and made my way up ...My Wainwright ticking off Mission from Grasmere 🌄
Set off early from Grasmere and made my way up Helm Crag first..absolutely worth the early start.
Head up towards Easedale Road and then a right up to Helm Crag which is signposted as a footpath 👌
The sunrise from the top was unreal, proper sunrise glow and makes it worth the early drive up 🙃
Carry on along to Gibson Knott (not the most noticable summit so don't walk past it 😅) and then up to Calf Crag. The views just kept getting better. The layers from the top were incredible — ridge after ridge fading into the distance, proper Lake District magic. 🪄
Originally planned to push on to Steel Fell too, but the wind had other ideas.. definitely one to save for another day. 💨
Can’t complain though, just headed back the way I came and got to see Helm Crag from a far in all it's glory 🥰
I really enjoyed this one but make sure you take a few snacks as the walk from Helm Crag to Calf Crag is longer than you think 😊
