We nearly skipped it after reading lots about how overrun it is, we are more than happy to miss out on popular places and seek out the quiet ones... But we were literally driving past, the roads were deserted and the sky was clear ~ we figured we could just stop by and if the car parks were full or if it just wasn't for us we could just leave... But my goodness I am so glad we swung by 🙌
It truly is a magnificent setting, even completely frozen over without the iconic blue shades... We can definitely understand why it is such a Dolomites favourite!
IF you do visit in winter, the sun was fleeting and it still did get very busy from 9am onwards... But if you do get here early, you do get this magnificent slice of sunshine rise behind the mountains and dazzle you ☀️

It was an epic drive through gorgeous scenery to get here, a magnificent van night spent in the snow and it acted as our gateway for our little van tour of the Dolomites featuring a magical white Christmas!

Forever glad that we converted this little blue work van and ...Our little blue home on wheels ...
Forever glad that we converted this little blue work van and all the places and experiences we have had from it, from hot springs in Italy, to snowboarding in the Alps, to surfing in Portugal... This little van has given us a safe harbour and epic winter trips!
Even becoming a family of four and needing a new conversion, this little box has still delivered an enchanting road trip, Cocos first of hopefully many more to come!
As always, @passengerclothing has been my go to for my vanlife clothing, this shirt has been a particular staple on this trip, taking me from beach, to towns, layering up for cooler weather and thrown over a vest in the sun 🙌
